The seventh day of the festival is already here and it won’t be a day of rest. Today we’re getting ready for the most important evening of the festival and for the long-awaited verdicts. Our journalists investigate, whom Dragons, Horns and Hobby-Horses may go to.

The Grand Finale this evening is going to start with an accordion concert of the Motion Trio, a group from Krakow playing jazz, drum’n’bass as well as classical music. AROUND THE WORLD IN 7 DAYS. DAY 53.06.2008
Today's weather forecast for the Krakow Film Festival is that, although we'll travel to Iceland, it's gonna be really hot - with the easterly wind. In the Sound of Music series an amazing summer tour of Sigur Rós will be shown and Polish shorts will dominate the International Competition in the afternoon. In the evening an Open Air Cinema screening of "Manna" will take place – the summer is already here!

"Heima" is a unique story of a tour which an Icelandic group Sigur Rós made through little towns of their homeland. Interestingly, "Heima" is not the only film shown (...)

19th International Documentary Film Market “Sunny Side of the Doc” started on  Tuesday, June 24th. The Market, which takes place in La Rochelle in France, is one of the biggest and the most important event for documentary film professionals. Lots of producers, distributors and commissioning editors attend SSD every year.

52 PERCENT BY SKALSKI WINS IN SPAIN!23.02.2008

Short documentary "52 percent" by Rafal Skalski, student of Polish Film School in Lodz, received main award at Punto de Vista Film Festival in Pamplona (Spain). The film was awarded in "Short Documentary" category. It nis another success of polish document on this young film festival - last year''s winners include Tomasz Wolski, who received "Best Director" award for his film "Clinic".

"52 percent" production of Eureka Media in cooperation with Polish Film School Lodz is a part of the second edition of the project "Poland - Russia. New look". The film had won Grand Prix at last year''s Krakow Film Festival (...)

Rendez - Vous in Italy04.04.2007
Documentary film "Rendez - Vous" directed by Marcin Janos Krawczyk has been selected for the competition run of the international festival again. This time it will be screened on Shadowline Salerno Film Festival which takes place between 4 and 12 May. "Rendez - Vous" is going to be presented within the frames of Corto Europa Section. "Corpus Christi" and "Siberian Guide" in competitive section of Dialektus Festival10.03.2007
Another two films represented by Krakow Film Foundation have been selected to competitive section of the international festival! This time "Siberian guide" directed by Maciej Migas, Jedrzej Morawiecki and "Corpus Christi" dir. Adam Sikora will be screened abroad on the European Documentary and Anthropological Film Festival "Dialektus" in Hungary. The first film tells the story of the Siberian City of Sun and followers of Vissarion. "Corpus Christi" depicts modern Silesia and its inhabitants who struggle with poverty. Festival will be held from 10th to 14th April 2007 in Budapest. The programme of the "Dialektus" festival is mainly focused on documentaries touching (...)

Films from Andrzej Wajda School in Canada! 08.03.2007
Two documentaries directed by students from Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing have been selected to be screened on the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto. "By the river" dir. Magda Kowalczyk together with "Rendez – vous" dir. Marcin Krawczyk, which recently becomes more and more popular, will be presented within the frames of "Spotlight on Central and Estern Europe" section. Festival will be held from 19th to 29th April 2007. Film directed by Marcin Krawczyk will be screened on 25th April at 3 p.m. (ROM Theatre) and 28th April at 9 p.m. (Al Greek).
